Renowned Scandinavian boatbuilder, Windy Boats, is going back to the future in 2011 with the all-new 31 Zonda, a stunning fast weekender which harks back to the glory days
of the deep-vee hull.

“I really think it’s one of the most beautiful boats Hans Jørgen Johnsen has ever designed for us,” comments Windy CEO Knut Heiberg-Andersen. “The Zonda is a low-profile weekender concept with no hardtop, no radar arch – just a great hull and plenty of horsepower. She’s sleek, functional and sexy.”

Focused on a deep, secure cockpit and performance-oriented helm position, the Zonda’s simple and elegant accommodation is designed around the needs of an overnighting couple. There is a single sleeping cabin down below, with a big double bed, a generous shower compartment and a small galley.

The cockpit seating is sheltered by a canopy on a folding stainless steel frame which is designed to be as effortless as possible to put up, and unobtrusive when stowed.

The 24 degree, deep-vee hull can be powered by single or twin sterndrive installations from Volvo, up to a maximum of 440hp.

Commenting on the choice of name, Heiberg-Andersen says, “like all our boats it’s named after a wind – the warm, dry viente zonda which blows down from the Andes in Argentina.
But if this is a boat that puts owners in mind of a certain rare and desirable sports car, then that’s hardly surprising.”

The launch of the Windy 31 Zonda is planned for Spring 2011.

Scandinavian boatbuilder, Windy Boats, has been shortlisted for three major awards at the 2011 Motor Boat of the Year Awards and European Powerboat of the Year Awards. The winners will be announced in January at the London International Boat Show and boot Düsseldorf respectively.

The Windy Dubois SR52 Blackbird – a stunning 16.10 metre Super Tender – was produced by Windy Boats and Hans Jørgen Johnsen in partnership with world-renowned yacht designer Ed Dubois. Launched to rave reviews at the Cannes International Boat Show last September, it has been nominated in the ‘Performance and Superboats’ category for the 2011 Motor Boat of the Year Awards, and the ‘Yachts over 50 feet’ category for the European Powerboat of the Year Awards.

The Windy 40 Maestro high performance family cruiser is the latest in the new generation of Scandinavian sports cruisers designed and conceived by Windy’s multi-award winning design team. Also unveiled at Cannes it has been nominated in the ‘Sportcruisers up to 45 feet’ category for the 2011 Motor Boat of the Year Awards.

Both the SR 52 and Windy 40 Maestro are constructed using the latest technically advanced, environmentally sensitive, vacuum- injection technology. 43 Fuss Komfort, Funktionalität und Spaß: die neue Motoryacht von BAVARIA wird als Hardtop-Version auf der „boot“ 2011 in Düsseldorf präsentiert.

Das Hardtop mit seinen großen seitlichen Fensterflächen ist noch ausgereifter als die "kleine Schwester", die SPORT HT 38. Die große, zu öffnende Dachfläche hat ein integriertes leichtgängiges manuelles Softtop, das optional elektrisch zur Verfügung steht. Durch den niedrigen oberen Querholm kann der Fahrer in Verbindung mit einem optionalen, ausklappbaren Podest problemlos während der Fahrt bei offenem Dach über die Windschutzscheibe blicken.

Die Frontscheibe (inkl. Cockpit) ist wahlweise beheizbar erhältlich, genau wie die beidseitigen Schiebefenster. Die selbsttragende GFK-Konstruktion ohne Edelstahlstützen passt sich perfekt an die moderne Linienführung der neuen SPORT Serie an.
